Lolli-Pops! Concerts Help Needed
Are you making plans for the summer?
Would you like to include a fun outdoor activity that delights kids and their parents/grandparents?
For the last 6 years, the Friends of DCDL have hosted a table at the Powell Lolli-Pops! Concerts. We encourage membership and give each child a FREE book. The kids are delighted, and their adults are very appreciative. It's a great way to spread the word about the Friends.
Volunteers are needed from 9:30 - 11:45 am to set up, pass out brochures and books, and tear down. The sign up below is for ALL of the concerts this summer (June 2 through August 11) so please sign up early for the day(s) that work best. Thanks for your help!

Volunteers needed at 6/7 Liberty Book & Media Sale
Lots of people are loving Liberty, and this time there is even more to love! (more on that later)
We will have a Book/Media Sale at Liberty on Saturday, June 7 and we could use your help!
If you can't volunteer that day, would you consider helping out by inviting a friend to shop at our sale? We always appreciate help with publicity. June 7 from 10-3, and bargains are guaranteed!
Now for the "more to love" part - our dedicated Liberty Book Sale Coordinators have rearranged the room to relieve congestion in the popular non-fiction area. Come and see for yourself! We have tweaked the room layout many times in response to your feedback and our observations, and we hope this change is one you'll really appreciate!

DCDL Requests Assistance at the Medieval Faire on 6/21
Hark, good sirs and fair ladies! We find oursevles in need of stout hearts and willing hands to aid in a most noble endeavor. Our discourse this day doth touch upon the very fabric of medieval life, and to truly bring it forth, we seek yeoman and gentlefolk alike to lend their voices and their presence.
In modern language, DCDL needs some helping hands to make the Medieval Faire on Saturday, June 21 a success! Jobs include Parking Lot Attendant, Roving Assistance and Activity Station Help. Volunteers meet at the Ostrander Branch Library. A fun time awaits! Now, back to the medieval talk.
Fear not, for no great peril awaits, only the opportunity to illuminate the past. Who among you feels the spirit of the age stir within their breast and would volunteer to assist in this humble presentation? Your aid would be most valorous and heartily appreciated! Step forth, I pray thee, and make thyself known by clicking the button below!
